Step Challenge: Fit4Feb
Start of a Get Fit In February Challenge! We’re committed to walking 2 Million steps this month!
This February our team are setting their sights on the glory of fitness for the coming month. Having kicked the adult juice to the curb for dry January, the team here are planning on turning that rejuvenated liver into physical advances over February.
With a clean body comes a clean mind and through the Fit4Feb challenge, the team here have accepted the ordeal of averaging a mean number of 6,000 steps per day. Now that may seem a little lacklustre, with the NHS stating 10,000 steps a day should be the goal for a healthy adult.
However, it must be considered that the team work hard and long hours within the confides to provide great service for their clients. This means for us that aiming for a 6,000-step a day goal is a big boost to our current step count and across the board we want to see a 50% increase.
So, the big question is… what’s the goal?
Well as set by our gracious leader, Gareth Burton, we will aim for a collective 2,000,000 steps over the course of February, a number sure to spur some intrigue.
Internally, the team have set prizes for the most committed to the cause, with awards for the most steps made over each week, most steps over the course of the month and most steps in a day. Winners will be announced at the beginning of March.
If you would like to take on this step challenge with your team, we encourage you to do it. Its benefits include boosting engagement and improving employee health.
Stay tuned and look out for updates as we ask you to monitor our progress as we aim to go…… One Step Beyond!
